The curfew program in Barangay Bagong Nayon limits the punishment of children fifteen (15) years of age or under at the time of the ommission of the offense shall be exempt from criminal liability. A child above fifteen (15) years but below eighteen (18) years of age shall likewise be exempt from criminal liability and be subjected to an intervention program, unless he/she acted with discernment.
The exemption from criminal liability herein established does not include exemption from civil liability, which shall be enforced in accordance with existing laws. If it has been determined that the child taken into custody is fifteen (15) years old or below, the authority which shall have an initial ontact with the child has the duty to immediately release the child to the custody of his/her parents or guardian, or in the absence thereof, the child’s nearest relative.

Historical background of Barangay Bagong Nayon It was created on 1989 thru Batas Pambansa 798. The young barangay is bounded by Tulaken River in the north, Marcos Highway and Barangay Sta. Cruz in the south, Inalsan Road in the east and Barangay Cupang and Nangka River on the west. A barangay of the component City Of Antipolo in the province Rizal in CALABARZON which is a part of the Luzon group of islands. The component City of Antipolo with a population of about 633,971 and its 16 arangays belongs to the urban areas in the Philippines. Bagong Nayon occupies an area of 3. 01 km2 and had 41,715 residents by the end of 2007.
Bagong Nayon is one of the barangays which are in the outlying area of Component City of Antipolo. This case study aims to know what are the possible effects that the curfew program that is being implemented might give its inhabitants. Nature Of the respondents The researchers gathered data from the residents of Barangay Bagong Nayon since it was the target community of this case study. The researcher obtained a total of 50 respondents from different areas of Barangay Bagong Nayon. The age and the gender of the respondents were considered by the researcher. Most of his respondents are the individuals are always staying late at night outside their respective houses.
The researcher believes it will be the best respondents of this case study since the researcher wanted to find out if there’s any effect on the curfew program implemented by Barangay Bagong Nayon. The few percentage of researcher’s respondent is from adult or those individual with their own kids particularly teenager. The researcher also believes that these respondents could also help to determine if there’s ny effect on the curfew program. Those respondents will be able to help the researcher in giving feedback if there are some changes with the routine of their kids every night. Methodology The researcher used a quantitative method to find out the different effects and the effectiveness of the curfew program.
The researcher conducted survey through distributing questionnaires.
