Jake TilneyScience Recycling One WorldWord Count (1010)(Part 1)Almost everything we see around us can be recycled. From Glass to paper it can be recycled and reused. The different materials require different ways to recycle them. Recycling have very little steps and it is easy to do and it will make such a huge difference to the world if people were just to recycle more and not waste material by just throwing them away because recycling is a way smarter option Recycling is very important to us because as waste has a huge negative impact on the world’s environment, Harmful chemicals and greenhouse gasses are released from rubbish when it is gotten rid of and the landfills, but when we recycle it keeps the world clean because it does not release those terrible greenhouse gases that pollute the world. Since we are saving resources and are sending less trash to the landfills, it helps in reducing air and water pollution as I said before it keeps the world a cleaner place .Recycling is a very good thing because it causes 35% less water pollution and 74% less air pollution and that means the world will be less polluted if we just recycled more. If the world is a cleaner place it is a happier place for humans and animals. But if we did not recycle and we kept sending trash to the landfills there could be a lot of pollution and it will affect the world really badly. It can cause a lot of bad thing to happen to the world one big thing is global warming.Over a long period the global climate will change even more than it already has. Glaciers will keep shrunk, ice on rivers and lakes will break up earlier, plant and animal ranges will shift. It will cause make an incredible impact on the world. If we as humans do carry on like this and not recycle and not treat our world well, the world could end up being a huge mess. This is why recycling is really important to us and have have to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. As we every well known material which is recycled a lot is paper. We use paper a lot in our daily lives. I am a student and I myself use around 10 sheets of paper daily. If everyone in the school ,by the way that is around 3200 kids, If everyone recycled there paper each day we could save many animals species such as the polar bear. We can save the polar bears by recycling because it will stop the greenhouse gases from rising into the atmosphere and then it might cause the polar icecap to melt and it already is meeting in fact. You are always told to recycle paperwherever u go. If its in school or at home. Paper is probably the easiest thing to recycle because it takes around 3-4 steps to do it. Paper can be recycled in many different ways. But the most commonly used way involves mixing used paper with water and chemicals to break it down. Why mixing it with water and chemicals it makes it into a sloppy mixture and it will all but stuck together. When is it all stuck together they cut all up in these machine with make the paper all equal and it is heated up so it stays stuck together and so the paper does not separate and just fall apart, by doing that it breaks it down further into strands of cellulose (a type of organic plant material) this resulting mixture is called pulp, or slurry. It is strained through screens, which remove any glue or plastic that may still be in the mixture then cleaned, de-inked, bleached, and mixed with water. Then it can be made into new recycled paper. As you can see recycling paper is a very easy process and everyone should be able to send their unused paper to be recycled and reused (Part 2)The world will be a better place if we just recycled. Recycling will affect the world in a very positive way but also it can be bad in just the slightest of ways. The environment. The environment is something that definitely will be affected by recycling. It can be in a good way and in a bad way but mostly in a good way. If we are not recycling we as humans put all our waste in Landfills. The environmental problems of landfills is a difficult issue to fix. As more waste is put into landfills, the bigger the problem gets. Some products that we do throw away there are not biodegradable and those that are not biodegradable can remain in landfill sites for centuries, often emitting gases that could be harmful to the environment. If we were to just not throw all of the non biodegradable into the landfills and just recycle them it will help a lot because we would not be throwing them into the landfills and then it won’t be able to release greenhouse gases and that means the atmosphere and the worlds air will not be able to be polluted. That will keeps the worlds environment clean and it will let the animals and humans breath clean air. Recycling items often uses less energy than manufacturing products from virgin sources. That mean that it recycling does use energy but not as much as just getting rid of the waste by burning them. A slightly bad thing about recycling is that when you are transporting the recycling goods it does release some bad gases because usually the trucks come and pick up the recycle good and bring them to the factories and when they bring it to the factories via truck the trucks with release fumes and those fumes to contain greenhouse gases. Overall recycling as a whole does affect the environment it a very good way because it does stop pollution to the worlds water and air, If we want to keep the worlds environment clean we have to recycle because we don’t want to damage the environment.
