Does the massive use of Big Brother surveillance technologies make you feel safer because it can protect you from crime, or less safe because of possible violations of your civil liberties? Will you be more careful now using communication technologies, knowing that anything you type or send electronically could be reconstructed and used to judge your lawfulness or our character? Big Brother surveillance was developed to ensure safety through-out the world. Many companies have placed these surveillance cameras in places such as light poles, parking lots, street light, telephone pole, and even malls. They are placed to view the movement of the citizens. The Big Brother theory of surveillance is pervasive snooping and monitoring shouldn’t frighten innocent people, it should only make lawbreakers nervous because they are the only ones with something to hide.
This to many could be onsidered as a possible violation of their civil liberties, however, I do not considered that to be an issue. I feel safer because it doe protect from crime. In many instances, these cameras have been the voice of citizens whom have been victims of various crimes. For this, I know that many families are grateful. Knowing that anything type, send electronically could be reconstructed and it could also be used to judge my lawfulness or my character, surely doe prompt me to be very careful of what I am sending.
In odays society, your ‘Xpaord” and character is basically all that one needs to form an opinion of you. You would surely want these things to be positive. “And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God’s word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest” (Luke 8:15). With anything that you sent or construct, you should know that it is a possibility that someone outside of the person that you are sending it too may see it.
