Just think about that. ” -?Josephine Baker These two quotes tell us that it is more important to know one’s conduct and virtue to say who should be the highest or the lowest. It is really not always about the sex of anyone.
How people think, their maturity and knowledge, and actions should be one of the world’s choices to consider before making a conclusion that the other sex is dominant than the other. We, humans, are made equally just like what Josephine Baker stated. The only thing that define us is how we see things and think about them. So, if we ever make a decision of who is greater than the other then we should better think about it more. But if ever people would realist how damaging the inequalities of the genders cause the society then it would be far better to just stop these sue and start treating one another as equal individuals. 1 ) Gender equality is the measurable equal representation of women and men. Gender equality does not imply that women and men are the same, but that they have equal value and should be accorded equal treatment. And it also said that it would (2) only be achieved when women and men enjoy the same rights and opportunities across all sectors of society, including economic participation and decision-making, and when the different behaviors, aspirations and needs of women and men are equally valued and favored. The researcher chose this topic to know the perception of people about the topic. This is made most especially for the mothers.
This is to know what these mothers think of the issue and how they are coping with the idea of experiencing some of the inequalities. Statement of the Problems This study tends to answer the following questions to know the things that are being affected by the issue and how people of today are. A) What are the genders or sexes and their differences with each other? B) What is Gender Equality? C) What are the bases of the comparison between the genders? ) What are the disadvantages of gender inequalities? E) Would there be big effects on the children with problems regarding the inequalities Of gender? ) How do the mothers teach their children to avoid the inequalities of genders? G) Is gender equality important for the citizens? Objective The objective of this study is to know what are the differences of the sexes and where the comparisons come from. This is also to know what could the interviewed mothers do to avoid everyone in their family to experience the disadvantages of gender inequalities. Of course, there are possible things that loud affect people of our society and by doing this research one could know what are those things so we could do about it.
Hypothesis The researcher’s hypothesis is that she will know what do the mothers say and think about the topic. She will be able to know how these women do their job as a mother to protect their family from the things that could damage them because of these inequalities. And lastly, the researcher will be aware that these mothers will mostly think that everyone should be equally treated and be given equal opportunities in life. Scope and Limitation This study is limited to the mothers of Grade 8 who are currently studying in Little Jesus Learning Center.
Students that are only daughter or only son are not included to avoid being bias of the answers their mothers will do. Those students who are all girls or all boys in the family are also not included. This is also to have a fair answer for the stud’s conclusion. This is also only focuses with the perception of the mothers about gender equalities. This research will not be beyond the topic and will only focus on the data’s that will show what these women think about the issue. Significance of the Study This research attempts to make people see that gender equality is needed by the whole society to be able to grow more.
This will also help mothers who are not aware of those inequalities with what they could do in case they encounter problems regarding them. Another thing is that this study will benefit the citizens that are experiencing the hardships of unbalance treatment they are having. People would finally find out that the issue about inequalities should be stopped for the whole country’s sake. Definition of Terms Sex -It refers to a person’s biological status and is typically categorized as male, male, or interest Gender -(3) It was used to be a grammatical term and normally refers to nouns, not people.
However, theorists began to differentiate gender from sex. In the context of this paper,gender is referring to biological difference between men and women. In addition, gender will also be referred to as an organizing principle of society resulting from socially prescribed norms that emerge from everyday social interactions. Gender Equality – (4) means that women and men have equal conditions for realizing their full human rights and for contributing to, and benefiting from, economic, social, cultural and political development.
Inequality – (5) It pertains to unfair means of allocations of opportunities indoctrinations for men and women in all spheres. Perception -(6) An attitude, understanding or result, based on what is thought, observed, or acquired about minority member and/or the surrounding environment or situation a minority is in. Mother – A woman who has a full authority and power over her family and children. Someone who gives birth to her offspring. Theoretical Framework This framework shows a mother teaching her children that even though hey are opposite in sex they are still equal and should be treated the same.
