Crashing, They had 40,000 fresh eggs in the ship’s

Crashing, the titanic banged onto the iceberg.  The Titanic struck the iceberg at 11:40 pm on April 14, 1912.  Then it sank a few hours after.  Everyone before that said it was the “unsinkable ship”.  This proves that they were wrong.  The weather was humdrum, with relatively balmy temperatures (50°-60° F), light to balanced winds, and almost entirely rain-free skies.  This would be a day that some will not forget, and many will not survive.  Although the ship passed through a bitter front on the afternoon of April 12th, the passage was negligible, causing mini change in the sensible weather.  The Titanic was 883 feet. It took 2000 men to make the titanic in two years.  The Titanic was 883 feet and 8 inches long.  The width of the Titanic was 92.5 feet.  The construction was on March 31,1909.  The amount of coal used per day was 825 tons.  The approximate number of lamp bulbs used on the ship were 10,00.  The cost of building the titanic was $7,500,000.2 workers died in the building of the titanic.  They needed 20 horses to transport the main anchor.  The maximum number of people the Titanic could carry was 3,547.  The number of people aboard the titanic was 2,223 people including the passengers and crew.  The number of honeymoon couples on the voyage was 13.  There were 14,000 gallons of drinking water used every 24 hours. They had 40,000 fresh eggs in the ship’s provisions.  They also had about 1,000 bottles of wine taken aboard.  Captain Smith, their capitan, abortedheed the passengers and crew of Titanic.  He failed to cognizance ice warnings, did not  lethargic his ship when ice was reported precisely in his path and  lifeboats to leave the sinking ship partially filled, unnecessarily adding at least 500 names to the list of the dead.  It was basically his fault.  The Titanic had 6 warning before the Titanic collision happened with the iceberg.  It took 160 minutes or 2 hours and 40 minutes to sink when it hit the iceberg.  The temperature of the water when Titanic sank was -2C.  Not everybody was supposed to jump in.  1,512 people that were supposed to be aboard the lifeboats didn’t.  They were aboard the titanic when it sank.  The titanic had 20 lifeboats.  They were supposed to be 63 lifeboats, but they did not have enough room and it would be way too cluttered. Some people that were able to get aboard the lifeboats were Lawrence Beesley, a journalist and author.  He was in the 2nd class cabin.  He was in his cabin reading when it all happened.  He came out to ask what was going on, but he was advised that is was nothing.  He made it up to A-Deck and was ordered to plummet onto lifeboat No.13.  When he got back safely 9 weeks later, he made a successful book called Loss of the SS Titanic.  Next, Frederick Fleet, an english drew man was one of the people who spotted the iceberg first..  Fleet was accredited to lifeboat No. 6 to assist the passengers, rescued by the Carpathia.  They would have seen the iceberg a long time ago if the captain did not keep the binoculars them up in the storage room.  Another person would be Violet Constance Jessop, persuaded by her friends to sign on as a stewardess for the Titanic’s maiden voyage.  She was basically asleep when the ships collusion with the iceberg occurred.  Jessop was quickly ordered into lifeboat No. 16 and was given a baby to look after.  And when the Carpathia was rescuing them, the baby was reunited with its mother.  Hindmost, there is Elizabeth Shutes, an American governess, to a well-known lady, boarded the titanic as a first class passenger.  Chutes and Graham felt the collusion from their cabin, but when they asked a passing crewman if there was anything wrong, he assured them there was no danger.  However, they were quickly ordered to board lifeboat No. 3 just moments later.Out of 2,224 passengers, 1,503 perished. 712 people (commonly people were women and children) were rescued by the RMS Carpathia.  31.6% was the percentage of passengers and crew who survived.  53.4% was the percentage who could have survived, given the number of spaces available on the Titanic lifeboats.  There was only 2 dogs who survived the sinking.  The depth at which the wreck of the Titanic lays was 12,600 feet.  The distance that the bow penetrated into the sea bed was 18 metres.  The approximate number of artefacts that have been recovered from the wreck site was about 6,000.All in all, the titanic wasn’t such an unsinkable ship.  Still the ruins are beneath the sea ruined.  But people are still in the lookout for human bodies beneath the ocean.
