| Anne Chaney Ratcliff |
Anne Chaney Ratcliff, age 74, had her family by her side when she peacefully passed away the sunny morning of Friday, June 1, 2012 in her home in Allen, TX.
She was born on June 22, 1937 to Walter James and Mary Viola Chaney in Warrensburg, MO.She would have turned 75 this month.
She was active in the Catholic Church for many years and maintained a very strong Christian faith throughout her life. She loved traveling with family and friends, visiting art museums, cooking and nature. She had a passion for pretty things, especially flowers, and would spend long spring and summer days working in her gardens. Above all, Anne cherished and adored her family.
Anne is survived by her loving husband, Robert Pulte Ratcliff of 54 years, daughter, Amy Leeann Bowman and son, Patrick Scott Ratcliff; both from Shreveport, LA and sister, Sandra Lee Tywater of Bedford, TX. Anne also leaves behind her two beautiful granddaughters, Rebecca and Sarah Bowman and a beloved dog named Maggie.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Viola House and father, Walter James Chaney.
In honoring Anne's wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes will rest in the St. Jude Columbarium. Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal will take place at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 N. Greenville Avenue in Allen, TX, Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 2 p.m. A reception will follow immediately after the services in the Parish hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Anne's honor to the Alzheimer's Association: alz.org.
